With over three decades of experience in the accounting industry, Jason leads Affinity Accounting as Owner and Director. A Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Business, Jason spent 25 years at a large accounting firm, 15 of those as a Partner, before founding Affinity with a vision to do things differently.
Raised in country NSW and now proudly based in Newcastle, Jason combines strategic thinking with a down-to-earth approach. He is passionate about forming genuine connections, whether with clients or his team, and finds energy in the variety each day brings. He thrives on helping clients improve and grow their businesses, and takes pride in watching them enjoy the results of their hard work.
When not at work, Jason is a passionate supporter and board member of the Merewether Carlton Rugby Club, enjoys live music, and loves spending time with his family and their two dogs. He will also watch just about any sport (except baseball!)

With over 20 years of experience in accounting and financial management, Jo brings a wealth of knowledge and a personal touch to her role as Client Advisor at Affinity Accounting. A Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Newcastle, Jo has spent more than 15 years specialising in hospitality accounting, earning the trust of a diverse range of clients.
Jo is passionate about building strong relationships with her clients, aiming to alleviate the pressures of financial management so they can focus on growing their businesses, or even enjoy some well-deserved time away. She thrives in Affinity’s collaborative environment, where knowledge sharing and mutual support are key to the team’s success.
Outside of work, Jo enjoys taking her beloved dog for walks, attempting Pilates, attending live music and comedy gigs, and unwinding with a bit of Lego.

Hailing from the small country town of Inverell, Kyle began his journey in the accounting industry as a school-based trainee in 2014. He has since earned a Bachelor of Business with majors in Accounting and Marketing and achieved Chartered Accountant status. Kyle brings a strong foundation in both technical expertise and client-focused service to Affinity.
Kyle is passionate about helping clients improve and grow their businesses, striving to make their financial lives as stress-free as possible. He values the collaborative environment at Affinity and is dedicated to growing alongside his team.
When he’s not in the office, Kyle enjoys any sort of live music, cheering on the mighty Bulldogs, Liverpool, and GWS Giants, and staying active through coaching and playing hockey with the Newcastle Tigers Hockey Club. He’s also known to enjoy a round of golf when time permits.

James brings over seven years of accounting experience to his role as Client Advisor at Affinity Accounting. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from the University of Newcastle and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
James thrives on solving complex problems and is passionate about helping clients who are genuinely invested in optimising their business operations. He values building strong connections and takes pride in delivering tailored solutions that drive success.
Outside of work, James is a dedicated supporter of live sports and music – he is a self-proclaimed Knights tragic! He enjoys taking his golden retriever to the beach or on camping trips and loves discovering and supporting local hospitality venues.

With a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from the University of Newcastle and Chartered Accountant accreditation, Daniel brings both technical skill and a people-focused approach to his role.
He is most passionate about working with people, whether that is collaborating with trusted bookkeepers, supporting colleagues, or building lasting relationships with clients. Daniel enjoys helping businesses improve not only their financial performance but also their systems and day-to-day operations.
Outside of work, Daniel can usually be found watching sport (any kind, any level), heading to live music gigs, catching up with friends and family, or exploring new places and hidden gems.

Ben brings a wealth of experience to Affinity from a 16-year career in hospitality management. After earning a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) with Distinction from Curtin University, Ben transitioned into the accounting and business advisory field. His unique blend of practical management experience and academic achievement allows him to offer valuable insights, particularly to clients in the hospitality sector.
Ben is passionate about helping clients by delving into the root causes of issues and identifying opportunities for improved efficiency. He thrives on problem-solving and is committed to delivering tailored solutions that drive business success.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, going for runs, and occasionally hitting the golf course for a round or two.

Isaac brings five years of industry experience to Affinity, with a strong focus on the hospitality sector. He holds a Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping and is currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting, at the University of Newcastle. Known for his analytical mindset, Isaac is passionate about streamlining processes and improving efficiency for clients and internal teams alike. He takes a proactive approach to problem-solving, identifying root causes and implementing practical, long-term solutions. Outside of work, Isaac enjoys sport, the gym, camping, live music, and quality time with friends and family.

Max joined Affinity Accounting as a Trainee Accountant and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting at the University of Newcastle. Max is dedicated to expanding his knowledge and honing his skills in the accounting field. He is passionate about continuous learning and thrives on the challenges that require meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Max’s commitment to professional growth and his enthusiasm for tackling complex tasks make him a valuable asset to the Affinity team.
Outside the office, Max is a sports enthusiast who enjoys playing soccer, hitting the gym, and watching all kinds of sports.
